걸어온 길

After passing a Japanese TV audition, she debuted in 2001 as part of a Japanese group and appeared on variety shows for nearly three years. She returned to Korea in 2003 and debuted under the name Chae Yeon.

She mainly sang sexy dance songs with Latin and electronic rhythms. From 2007, she actively appeared on Chinese TV and in performances.

In late 2004, the 2nd album's title track 〈둘이서〉 became hugely popular and the 'Nanana dance' became a craze. She won the Singer of the Year award at the 2005 KBS Song Festival.

After a gap following her 2010 2nd mini album 《Look At》, she released singles such as 〈안 봐도 비디오〉 in 2015 and 〈봤자야〉 in 2018.
