He debuted in 1994 with his first album 《외면》. He drew attention for rock ballads with high notes beyond three octaves.

He released his second album 《잊을 수 없는 너》 in 1996. The 《고스트 맘마》 (Ghost Mama) OST track 〈함께 있으면 좋을 사람〉 was also loved.

He released 〈비의 랩소디〉 in 2000 and kept releasing albums steadily through his fifth album 《Trap》 in 2001. From 2001 he hosted a CBS radio show for two years.

From 2010 he performed for three years in the project group M4. Afterward he cut back on TV activity and now runs a logistics business.
