Today we have seven stories from October 19th. Let's go!
1. 엔믹스 · NMIXX
엔믹스, 미니 6집으로 컴백
First, NMIXX is back! On October 19th at 6 p.m., they released their sixth mini album, Strange Muse. The title track is called Birthday Wish, and the album has six songs. For the first time since their debut, it includes three unit songs by pairs of members. In Korea, a comeback means a new release, so you will hear the word 컴백 a lot.
2. 세븐틴 정한×조슈아 · SEVENTEEN Jeonghan × Joshua
정한×조슈아, 유닛 첫 앨범 발매
Next, two members of SEVENTEEN, Jeonghan and Joshua, released their first mini album as a unit. It's called DREAMSCAPE, and the title track is a dance rock song, 12 o'clock. There are seven songs. They will also start a concert tour in six cities from October 30th. A unit is a small group inside a bigger group.
3. 아이브 · IVE
아이브 선공개곡, 인기 급상승 1위
IVE released their new song Looks Can Kill before the album. This is called a pre-release. The music video went to number one on YouTube's worldwide trending chart. Their new mini album comes out on October 26th. In Korean, 선공개 means releasing something first, before the main release.
4. 동방신기 최강창민 · TVXQ! MAX Changmin
최강창민, 5년 만에 솔로 컴백
Changmin of TVXQ is back as a solo artist for the first time in about five years. His third mini album, All of My Life, has six pop rock songs. He will also hold concerts in Seoul from November 6th to 8th. Here's a useful pattern: time plus 만에 means 'for the first time in that long'. 5년 만에, for the first time in five years.
5. 방탄소년단 · BTS
방탄소년단, 싱가포르에서 마무리
BTS announced that their event BTS The City Arirang will finish in Singapore. It runs from December 1st to 31st, the longest schedule in the series. They will hold four concerts at the National Stadium on December 17th, 19th, 20th and 22nd. 공연 means a performance or show, and you will see it on every concert poster in Korea.
6. 라이즈 · RIIZE
라이즈, 첫 어쿠스틱 싱글 예고
RIIZE will release a digital single, Insomnia, on October 26th. It is the group's first acoustic pop song, and the lyrics were written by the famous lyricist Kim Eana. A digital single is a song released online only. And 예고 means a preview or announcement of something coming soon.
7. 하이키 · H1-KEY
하이키, 8개월 만에 신곡
Finally, H1-KEY announced a new digital single, Unbelievable, coming out on November 13th. It will be their first new music in about eight months. 신곡 means a new song: 신 means new, and 곡 means song. You already know 곡 from 타이틀곡!
