걸어온 길

Before his debut he prepared for a dance group, but the group scattered without officially debuting. He made his solo debut in September 1998 with his 1st full-length album 《To Heaven》.

At first he made his songs known through drama-like music videos without appearing on TV. He is known for ballads with a clear, high voice.

His albums from the 1st through the 4th sold very well in succession, and 〈가시나무〉 from the 2000 remake album and 〈아시나요〉 from the 3rd album were loved. He won daesang (grand prizes) at several ceremonies in 1999 and 2000.

He completed his military service as a public service worker from 2006 to 2008 and released his 7th full-length album in 2009. In October 2015, the Seoul Central District Court ordered him to pay 100 million won in damages in a dispute over a nationwide tour contract.
