Fan tips

Buying concert tickets from abroad

Domestic ticketing sites often require identity verification with a Korean phone number or i-PIN, so overseas fans are safer using the dedicated global pages. Interpark Global has been relaunched as NOL World, and YES24 Ticket and Melon Ticket also run English global booking sites. The ticket vendor differs by concert, so check the agency's notice for the designated vendor first, and if there is a fan club presale, sign up for the membership and link your accounts in advance.

Know the official fan platforms

Each agency uses a different official fan platform. Weverse offers communities and memberships for HYBE artists and many others; DearU bubble offers subscription messaging with artists; Kakao Entertainment's Berriz and Bemyfriends' b.stage also provide fan communities and memberships. Official fan club membership is often a requirement for presales, music show attendance applications and more.

Attending music show pre-recordings and live broadcasts

Applications to attend music shows are usually made through the artist's official fan club notices. On the day, attendance and ID checks take place at a set time, and some shows have age limits. Filming and recording are prohibited, and not showing up after applying or transferring your spot may restrict future participation.

Buying albums and Hanteo Chart tallies

Album sales are tallied in real time by Hanteo Chart, and first-week sales are called 'chodong'. If you want your purchase to count, buy from official retailers known to report to Hanteo Chart. Official weekly album rankings are also available on Circle Chart.

Bring your lightstick

Most groups have an official lightstick that fills concert venues with the fandom's color. Guidelines for using lightsticks are sometimes announced separately for each show, so check in advance. Buying genuine lightsticks from official merchandise sellers is the safest option.

Streaming and chart etiquette

Streaming songs you love regularly is a natural way to show support, but abnormal plays using multiple accounts or devices may be filtered out under chart rules. For domestic performance, check music charts like Melon, Genie and Bugs as well as Circle Chart; for international performance, check the Billboard charts.

Basic etiquette at venues

At concerts and broadcasts, follow no-filming notices and staff instructions for queues. Avoid following artists into private spaces (dorms, airport routes, etc.), and skip large props that block other fans' view.
